Yesterday was one of the best days of my life, hands down. I went to a neighborhood inauguration party and got to see a lot of the old call center crew. So amazing to have been able to help in this.

How did you make out? I got a pretty good stash, including The Guitar Grimoire, a gift certificate to Amazon.com and a bunch of smelly stuff from Bath & Bodyworks. I'm excited to use the amazon.com cert on a new DS, once I save up the rest.

Whoohoo, I've been sorted Gryffindor at hogwarts_elite! Joining communities now. Not too surprised to be a Gryff, though I expected more Puff votes. Haha. Guess they know their own better than I do. :)

In other news, work was kind of crazy this week and I'm glad I'm not working today. Gonna crack open some beers and just chill out and maybe play some playstation.

It looks like I'm going to be a Gryffindor. Lol, I always thought I was pretty Gryffindor-Hufflepuff, so it'd not a huge surprise. I even got a vote for Slytherin!

I can't say for sure, but it's looking like I'll get in. It looks like a good sorting comm, so I'm pretty darn happy about that.

I'm applying at a Harry Potter sorting community, sorting_elite. Apparently they're one of the most exclusive HP communities on LJ. Even the awesome fanartist buttfacemakani is a member. I'm nervous, but optimistic.

I've been feeling like that a LOT these days.

With all the craziness happening in the (American) economy and politics, it's easy to forget this month is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Think Pink this month, guys. Think about anyone you might have known who may have been affected by breast cancer. And talk about them, to them, for them. Do what you can to make other people aware of how this affects all of us, and do what you can to fight the disease and the ignorance that surrounds it. That's what this month is for. It's not really about the catchy slogo or companies suddenly putting on the Goodness Hat by putting their packages in pink wrapping. It's about the disease we are fighting, the people we have lost and about the us, who face a future hoping that we can eliminate this risk.

Even if you can't join participate in an event IRL, don't forget about Click To Give.

Okay guys. You know, I love Obama more every day. Seriously. The debates? He was so amazingly. Yeah, it was calm, but that was kind of the point, I think. His steadfast coolness can show how well he can operate under a crisis. McCain came off pretty hot-headed. And the polls totally agree, yay!

General Basch from FFXII. See icon. And username. :) Yes, yes he's a Captain in the English version, but still. Such a complex and heroic character. Not bad to look at either, but it was his loyalty and dedication that won me over.

Gaming, but especially RPGs. I'm a nerd and it's awesome, ok?

Grateful Dead. My parents were hippies. I remember I cried when Jerry Garcia died, the Dead were such a presence growing up in my house that he was like an uncle I never met.

Ginny Weasley. My favorite Weasley by far (though George is awesome, too) and she reminds me a lot of myself. We're both red-headed spitfires, what can I say? :)

Grandma. My grandma (on my mom's side) was the strongest person I ever knew, and I still think of her every day.

Finally saw The Dark Knight last week. So so good. I immediately googled TDK fic when I got home. I do not need another fandom, but something hooks you when it hooks you, I guess. Bwah. I have a Joker weakness.

In other news, I can't believe they delayed the HBP release to 2009. And still two movies to go? The kids are going to be 30 before it's finished at this rate.
